Our social and economic mission
Our ongoing mission is to maximise opportunity across the UK and globally through knowledge generation, innovation and enterprise. With a keen focus on social and economic transformation, our courses are created to meet the requirements of employers whilst also meeting the wider needs of society as a whole.
Recognised as a Stonewall top 100 employer in 2018, we are committed to championing diversity and inclusion in everything that we do. The 1970s saw the University of Wolverhampton develop into a truly international community, teaching students from Iran, Malaysia, and Nigeria, and in the years since our selection of courses and international opportunities have flourished. Today, we are proud to have a truly international student body from countries all over the world.
Trailblazing expertise in Business and Management education
Our business school is over 80 years old and was one of the pioneering institutions to offer MBA courses. The academic team is drawn from a range of business and management backgrounds, and many have held senior positions in multinational and blue-chip organisations.
It has taken us decades to build and evolve such deep expertise, and we continue to develop it with every passing year. Our dedication to constant improvement enables the business school to deliver MBA courses that equip current and aspiring leaders with the 360-degree skill needed to succeed in senior leadership roles in the ever-changing world of work.
Psychology courses shaped by leading research and global enterprise partnerships
Our Institute of Psychology and its research-active team are at the forefront of the field. Their ground-breaking research projects explore numerous applied and theoretical areas of psychology, including health psychology, counselling psychology, cognitive psychology, cyberpsychology, forensic and investigative psychology, and intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The Institute has over 150 industry partnerships that feed into course development, including with The Ministry of Defence, The International Criminal Court in The Hague, and the United States Dept. of Homeland Security Transport and Administration Authority.
