What type of study does each module involve?

Each module lasts for 8 weeks in total, for part-time students your dissertation will be a longer 16 week module. For full time students, your dissertation, will be completed over an 8 week period. Delivery methods may include: short knowledge-focused videos, interviews and recorded group discussions, asynchronous debates and workshops and podcasts. Additionally, you will be provided with supplemental reading lists, which may include video resource links and general supporting information.

The course will make use of techniques such as case studies, problem solving activities, discussions (both structured and unstructured), evaluation of online and documentary resources and guest speaker inputs. You will be expected, and directed, to read from a range of sources, including academic journals, and you will work autonomously as well as interactively within group exercises.

Your course may include a variety of assessment activities, such as: written examinations, practical (for example, oral and video presentations, laboratory work, performances, practical skills assessment). At the end of your postgraduate degree, you are likely to be expected to write an extended piece of work or research, such as a dissertation or a practice-based piece of research.
